The miniseries has been filmed in many locations of the planet. Not only on true islands such as Madagascar, Seychelles, Iceland, Sardinia, but also on isolated environments as different as Mount Kenya and the deepest underwater volcanoes. Many islanders species are portrayed: from tiny endangered birds to titanic lizards, from unique fish to improbable mammals, up to those animals that we put in artificial islands called National Parks
